Argentina an Investment for the Future

Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world comprising most of the southern half of South America. This country offers towering mountains, far reaching deserts, bustling cities, remote villages and everything in between. Because the country of Argentina is rich in culture, agriculture and ecotourism it is experiencing a blossoming tourist trade and a new migration of retirees and expatriates. With all this growing activity investors are also realizing the possibilities and are looking at Argentina as a new investment avenue to explore.
Culture
Argentina is different than other South American countries. The Argentinean population is predominantly of European descent, while most other Latin American countries are a mixture of native people mixed with European. This may explain the unique European flair to many of the larger Argentine cities.
The ethnic makeup of Argentina consists primarily of Spanish/Italian heritage while a small percentage of less than 5% is of native Amerindian descent. The national language spoken in Argentina is Spanish but may sound a bit like Italian. Other languages are quite prevalent including English and German, Italian and French.
The family unit is an important aspect of the Argentinean culture. Family and extended family are valued. The elderly and less fortunate members of the family are cared and provided for. How these members are treated within the family structure is often a measure of the family's worth and honor.
You'll find Argentineans are open and outspoken, friendly and warm. They are respectful, quite traditional and formal in many aspects of their daily life. They are great communicators, are often boisterous yet respectful in their dealings with others. They are also a very familiar people who touch often when they speak and do not recognize personal space as Americans might.
Climate
Argentina is south of the equator and therefore has its summer weather during the winter months of countries like the United States and Canada. With such a large land mass the weather ranges with a subtropical climate in the north. This region sees many tourists visiting during the months of March through September, when the humidity and temperatures are mild. The southern region of the country has a more sub-arctic climate and visitors to this region often plan their trips during the warmer months of November through February. The central region of Argentina is more temperate throughout the year but will have the typical tropical summer weather along with cooler weather during the winter months.
